[Speaker 1]: Now we come to something which again we see very commonly are road traffic accident cases or fracture cases. So what are the documentation standards for road traffic accident cases? [Speaker 2]: First thing is very important when the patient approaches us, we need to do a medico-legal complaint, what we say is MLC. Because any accident we need to report, because we don't know if at all patient is going to die or the complaint is going to lodge with the police. So that is important aspect per se. And then thereafter, naturally when patient comes to the clinician or a surgeon and after clinical examination and radiological examination, if doctor decide to go for the procedure or surgery whatever, then of course all the papers as per the normal surgical patient, including admission form to the IPD papers and the consent paper need to be properly maintained. And whenever anaesthesia has been called, pre-anesthetic checkup, basic investigation because everything become a part and parcel of medical record. And then you can proceed the procedure with explanation about outcome, possible outcome. It could be prognosis could be bad or could be good, but it need to be part of your whole document which is well known to the relative and a patient if a patient is conscious, can be a great helpful to my doctor in the court of law.
