[Speaker 1] So about arthroscopy, do we need to prove if in case there is any complication that there is a specialized training involved or how do we do it? Special anything for example or the all these three. Do we need to prove or do we need to have a degree? How does it work in India? [Speaker 2] See, law of cross specialty is settled in this country. And this was settled by honorable judgement in Dhanaka's case. This is Nizamuddin Hospital versus Dhanaka where a thoracic surgeon has operated a patient because mass was observed in thoracic surgery, thoracic area. And when he opened the cage it turned out to be fibro neuroma and he injured the spinal cord and patient became paraplegic and matter gone to the court of law and this issue got settled there. And court has observed that when neurosurgeon was available why he was not called? Because it was field of neurosurgeon probably complication would have been saved. In that domain as MCIs 2003 had made a specialization what we know as orthopedic surgeon, general surgeon, all sort of gynecologist and all. That time the major specialty has been defined and as a super specialty started coming, it need to be amended and given a power because power was given by MCI cross specialty. Now multiple branches came in every domain. Like you rightly said in surgery, laparoscopic surgeon and this surgeon, neurosurgeon or orthopedic like you rightly said that multiple branches came out. What is needed in court of law? That are you specialized and allowed to do. So if I argue the matter and which I argued in multiple cases and I got a result in a case of MBBS doctor who has done hair transplant and I won that case and even NMC has said no MBBS can't do hair transplant. My presentation with the court was very clear. Is on base of naturally medical degree and the training what is given. So what is required is first it must be in syllabus. So if you talk about any procedure advancement it need to be in syllabus. Second which is very important is viva practical theory and finally hand-on training. So what you said rightly that we need to prove. So hand-on training definitely plays a vital role. Because medical advancement cannot be stopped which may not be a part of our academic. But advancement came later but in the same specialized field. In such a domain if that advancement can be proven in a court of law with hand-on training with some certification what every people do. That's the reason why a continuous medical education is a part and parcel of our ethics where it is mandate for every doctor to have a CME that was the point for renewal was made. That is only for the purpose of understanding advancement. And if these certification shown, yes you are absolutely right. That is going to be a great savior to every my doctor in any specialized case. So specialty broader needed as well as ortho or E-ortho whatever branches definitely going to be there which can help in any domain like what you said. So there benefit are there with my doctor.
